Homeless Link is looking for an experienced HR Manager. This is a new and exciting role at Homeless Link and we are seeking a forward thinking HR professional to lead and develop our HR function in the organisation.

About Homeless Link

Homeless Link is the national membership charity for organisations working directly with people who become homeless or who live with multiple and complex support needs in England. With around 800 members, we work to improve services and campaign for policy change that will help end homelessness and ensure that everyone has a place to call home and the support they need to keep it.

Our member agencies range from hostels, day centres, street based outreach work and resettlement support to wider supported housing, health and social care providers. Our approach is to listen and learn, act and then speak. Our focus is to change the way that we, as a society, think and act towards single people who become homeless and other vulnerable groups.

About the role

As an organisation we want to be a beacon that inspires change and innovation and the post-holder will actively contribute to our aim to be a vibrant place to work, where we employ the best people, and provide them with the opportunity to learn and develop.

The role will span all aspects of operational human resource management including: employee relationship management; monitoring and improving HR systems and processes; policy development and implementaton; advice on employment law; recruitment and retention; and learning and development. As well as ensuring managers and employees are equipped with best practice to foster a high performance culture.

The successful candidate, as well as having an in depth understanding of employment law and the 2010 Equality Act, will have proven experience of working effectively in a hands on HR role. With a strong track record in supporting HR best practice, implementing and improving HR processes and systems and advising on HR policies and procedures, they will also have experience of improving learning and development in an organisation, as well as developing and maintaining effective and collaborative working relationships internally and externally.

The HR Manager role is an initial one year fixed term contract and is a part-time post of up to 28 hours a week. Homeless Link is committed to equality and diversity. We welcome applications from all sections of the community.
