Swindon Rough Sleepers Panel and Forum
Swindon Borough Council has developed a Multi-agency Rough Sleepers Panel & Forum. The purpose of the panel is to bring together all the relevant agencies in Swindon to assess the best way to meet the needs of people who are street homeless. The panel meets monthly to discuss individual cases and agree action points for clients with multiple needs thereby enabling clients to access appropriate accommodation and preventing a return to homelessness.
Membership
Currently the following agencies are members of the RS Panel & Forum, Swindon Borough Council Housing Needs Team, Crime & Disorder Team, Local GP, Community Mental Health, Specialist Drug & Alcohol Team, Threshold Housing Link, Salvation Army, Swindon Alcohol and Drugs Service, Drug Link, Probation, Adult Social Services, Supporting People Team, HOSTS, Town Centre Manager.
The Forum consists of senior managers, practitioners and operational staff from member agencies acting as the steering group and overseeing the working of the panel.
