Kevin Finnon

Kevin worked in industry prior to joining the sector. Having moved South from his native Sunderland he was surprised by the rough sleeping he witnessed in the Canterbury area. He volunteered at a local daycentre and decided he wanted to know more about services especially move on and resettlement.

Kevin joined East Kent Cyrenians in February 2000 as a Support and Resettlement worker and rose through the ranks to become Operations Manager. He was heavily involved in the opening of 3 new projects and developing services in differing locations across South East Kent, working with the local authorities and the community. Quality of service delivery, service user involvement, best practice and staff training and development are amongst his interests. Kevin states his time at East Kent Cyrenians saw many changes and challenges but, with great leadership from the Senior Management Team, the Board and a keen motivated workforce, Kevin was part of a forward thinking impressive organisation and knows he can continue this with Homeless Link.
