Rebecca Sycamore
Rebecca is Homeless Link's Director of Regional Development.
Rebecca Sycamore has been Director of Regional Development for Homeless Link since 2005.
Her department provides information, support and guidance to both agencies and commissioners. A team of regional managers are the 'face' of Homeless Link across England and help to deliver the Government's Places of Change programme and support local authorities who are trying to address the issue of moving people on from homelessness services . The department also includes the Membership, Marketing and Communications and Events functions for the organisation.
As Head of London for Homeless Link Rebecca managed relationships with agencies such as the Greater London Assembly and the City of Westminster - as well as working closely with some of the largest homelessness organisations in the country. In this capacity Rebecca worked with London agencies to produce Homeless Link's 2005 research report into the lack of move-on accommodation in London, No room to move. This research was replicated nationally and became the basis of Homeless Link's campaign to ensure homeless people have adequate move-on from hostels.
Rebecca has also worked for Crisis, co-ordinating their programme of outreach schemes for homeless people with mental health problems and working on the development of several of their new projects - including Crisis Skylight.
Rebecca trained as a social worker and worked in London Borough of Ealing with homeless people with serious mental health problems.
