Homeless Link has sister member agencies in Northern Ireland and Scotland.

The Council for the Homeless, Northern Ireland (CHNI)

The Council for the Homeless, Northern Ireland (CHNI) was founded in 1983 to represent organisations working with Homeless people throughout Northern Ireland.

CHNI's mission is to support its membership in achieving the collective goal of providing a full range of appropriate and good quality services to homeless people and to highlight the reality of homelessness in the political and public arenas. It seeks to achieve this through providing training, information and research, collective representation, communication and networks and technical support.

CHNI's vision is to alleviate the suffering caused by homelessness throughout Northern Ireland through providing services directly to homeless people, supporting member organisations, and lobbying for legislative and social change.

Scottish Council for Single Homeless(SCSH)

The Scottish Council for Single Homeless is the national membership body for organisations and individuals working to tackle homelessness in Scotland.

SCSH's purpose is to promote the best opportunities for homeless people and those at risk of homelessness in Scotland. It aims to achieve this by:

  • ensuring all those who are implementing homelessness services and other services to homeless people receive the best support to carry out the task.
  • providing an information source for policy makers and other interest groups.
  • acting as a vehicle to ensure the experience of frontline service providers and service users is conveyed to policy makers.
