London Olympics 2012
The 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games represent a key opportunity for enhancing and accelerating the regeneration of East London, where they will take place, as well as the wider area. A key feature of the bid for the Games was the positive legacy they can leave for the communities in East London. However, international experience has shown Olympic Games can have negative effects on the local area, including on housing and homelessness. Work needs to be done to ensure the London Games achieve postive outcomes for all Londoners. Below is information on research, resources and funding related to the legacy of the 2012 Olmypics.
