Broadway/Lemos&Crane Project
Policy for service delivery for homeless agencies working with eastern Europeans
June 2006
Homeless Link has recently conducted a survey of its members to identify the number of people and their support needs from eastern European countries that are presenting themselves to homeless agencies. The work will produce a report with policy recommendations at a national level, as well as examples of good practice.
In a separate project funded by the Ashden Trust, Broadway are working with social research organisation Lemos&Crane to develop a policy framework for homeless agencies for working with eastern Europeans, which deals practically and pragmatically with the surge in demand for services that has been generated from this new group of people and the immediate pressure this is exerting on agencies’ resources. This framework is available on the Lemos & Crane Support Action Network website.
