Broadway assessment/support planning tool
As part of the pre-tenancy services that we have developed, we've produced a new Assessment / Support Planning tool.
We spoke to all of our partner organisations and collected as many examples of Support Planning tools as we could. Almost without exception, they consisted of a table with blank boxed saying things like 'Goal', 'How to be achieved', 'By when'.
We spoke to people who carried out Market Research and staff from the National Centre for Social Research to get some inspiration on how to improve the tools available to:
- Improve service user involvement in assessment and planning
- Standardise procedure without sacrificing flexibility or preventing an individual response or approach
- Provide a positive challenge for discussion on a full range of pre-tenancy issues
We would like the chance to talk about the development of, and feedback on, the new tool - and invite comment.
- Has anybody else used techniques from outside of the sector in developing a service or tool? We know that people are keen on bringing in techniques from counselling, but this seems, in many ways, to be a 'cognate' sector - its aims and objectives are naturally in line with our own.
- Are there any areas we could all learn from that don't 'naturally' align themselves with what we do?
