Prevention of homelessness in later life
London authorities that have money from the Partnership for Older People Projects (POPP) fund are Brent, Camden and Southwark. They are developing improved services around quality of life and independence of vulnerable older people. The Coalition on Older Homelessness has written a paper to encourage homelessness prevention as part of this agenda.
It can be downloaded from the Coalition on Older Homelessness Website
Tower Hamlets is the only authority in London which has new funding as one of the Link Age plus pilots which are working on developing models for reaching out with services to older excluded people. The prevention of homelessness agenda is also one that we hope will be incoprporated into these projects.
