Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people may have specific needs if they are or at risk of being homeless. Here are links to organisations who support LGBT people in London and some resources discussing the issues and best practice.

Housing and Homelessness Services

  • Stonewall Housing – the only specialist housing support provider wholly dedicated to supporting the LGBT communities across London.
  • Camden LGBT Forum – runs monthly Housing Clinics for Camden residents in any form of housing who feel their treatment is being affected by being LGBT. 020 7470 8760

General LGBT organisations

  • The Metro Centre – provides support, advice, information, event, training primarily in South-East London. 020 8265 3311
  • Pace – promoting lesbian and gay health and emotional well-being. Offers a range of free or low cost services, mainly in North London.
  • Galop – London’s LGBT community safety charity working with the police and those affected by hate crime. Helpline: 020 7704 2040
  • Broken Rainbow - offer support to LGBT people who have experienced domestic violence. Helpline: 08452 60 44 60
  • Stonewall runs the Diversity Champions programme – a good practice forum promoting LGB equality in the workplace, which includes homelessness projects.
  • Queery.org.uk – community driven directory of LGBT services, resource and events nationwide.
