Engage and empower

raising clients' confidence, motivation and communication skills

27 June 2007, London

Trainer: Estee Zakaim

Previously entitled *Effective work with challenging clients*

This course will provide professionals with practical skills that will help them to: raise clients’ self awareness, build motivation and self-esteem, break free from unhelpful behavioural patterns and encourage people to take responsibility for their actions and choices.

Delegates will explore typical problems faced by professionals that work with vulnerable people such as the tendency to attribute “blame” on to others and resistance to pro-activity. The blend of approaches is designed to ensure that each person will gain insights that will be of immediate, practical use in their everyday working life.

Further information, Engage and empower

This course has given me an overview of how to work with clients, for both myself and the prisoners that I train. Useful models and exercises that I shall borrow - Delegate, St Giles’ Trust
