Role:
The Statutory Partnership Executive role sits within the Trusts and Statutory team which comprises five fundraisers. The aim of this role is to develop, implement and deliver a successful strategy that raises funds from government and statutory sources through partnership work.The successful applicant will be responsible for contributing to the Statutory fundraising target of 1 million pounds (2008/2009).This post will commence from 1st October 2008.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience over several budget cycles of generating funds from the statutory sector
- Proven experience of managing statutory grant programmes, including monitoring and evaluation reporting
- Thorough knowledge of central, regional and European government funding sources with a particular focus on funding opportunities for disadvantaged groups and/or Learning and Skills
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience of working with grant givers at a senior level
- Experience of administering grant and contractual reporting requirements
- Experience of formulating and implementing fundraising strategies for income generation from statutory sources, and proven achievement in reaching annual income targets
- Experience of setting, managing and analysing income and expenditure budgets

An enthusiastic person is needed to join our team providing housing and support to men and women with experience of homelessness, mental health, dual diagnosis and related needs. Support to service users is tailored to individual needs with the aim of maximising individuals’ potential for independence.
You will need experience and a commitment to developing supportive relationships with vulnerable people.
The post will initially be based at our dual diagnosis project where you will need to take part in a rota that includes some evening/weekend work. You will also need to take part in an out-of-hours on-call rota.

Offender Housing Needs Officer (Temporary for one year, 30 hours per week)

Incommunities have been successful in achieving funding from DIP to commission an “Offender Housing needs Officer” to coordinate and provide a seamless multi-agency support service to low-medium risk offenders, with drug and alcohol issues. The post will run initially on a pilot project for one year. The post will be based in the Homehunter Team and will work in conjunction with the current Homehunter Tenancy Support Service & Offender Tenancy Support Service.
The aim of the post is to:
- Prevent homelessness; achieve tenancy sustainment; empower and enable offenders and ex-offenders to secure access to accommodation and support and maintain their tenancies;
- The Offender Housing needs Officer will work throughout the Bradford District dealing with referrals predominately from Compass through care and after service.
- Be a vital link for housing advice for the client group; and explore the full range of housing options available for offenders and drug users.
To apply for the post you will require:
- 4 years experience of dealing with vulnerable groups, on a one to one basis in housing or in a support capacity through either paid or voluntary work; experience of providing a comprehensive support package using a multi-agency approach; some knowledge of the issues surrounding offenders and ex-offenders on probation and the issues surrounding this client group in access and sustaining housing, including an understanding of the issues surrounding drug and alcohol addiction.
OR
- NVQ Level 3 qualification/related degree ( i.e. social sciences; youth work; social work etc) and 2 years of the above experience.
In addition you will need to hold a full clean driving licence

Housing Justice is a national voice for Christian action in the field of housing and homelessness, active through churches and projects around the country, with offices in central London. Our vision is a society where every person has access to a home that truly meets their needs.
Chair:
We are looking for someone to lead the Board of Trustees through a challenging period of transition. Can you assist in providing strategic direction and oversight to grow and develop both the work and the organisation? To undertake this role you will have strong leadership skills, think strategically; communicate effectively and be an excellent ambassador representing the organisation at the highest levels. You should have solid experience of the voluntary sector, ideally within the housing field. The role requires somebody who is a practising Christian with knowledge of the denominations and able to reflect theologically in the public arena.
Board Members:
Members are also needed to join our board to help shape future strategy and achieve our mission. We would like applicants from a variety of backgrounds including those with housing, policy, business, marketing, media, fundraising and campaigning skills. We would particularly welcome applicants from ethnic minority backgrounds and women who are currently underrepresented on our board.
